"Obake"

Doing some costume work on the set of "Obake" (Screenplay and direction by Jules Aguimatang).
Actor: Rodney Oshiro. Location: Oahu.

Fun with Photoshop!

Just something that I did for fun. I would totally buy it, if only for the duet with Missy Elliot.

Self Portrait

This was what I sold at the "L.A. Myth" show recently. My linty pocket now has a little something in it. It's a self portrait, of sorts.

L.A. Myth 2009

I have two pieces in the show. Only one was for sale...and it sold fast! Yay! It's a fun show...a terrific variety of artists and styles. Check it: http://www.meltcomics.com/blog/2009/02/05/preview-la-myth-2009/

Sugar Daddy

My friend C.J.'s pancreas was being a punk and causing her a lot of pain, so I made her a new one. She named it "Sugar Daddy." This one is hand washable and easier to fix.

???

There's something living under the bougainvillea in my yard. It looks a bit, er, let's say....'special.'

FroggyFrog

I made my friend/victim here out of assorted fibers, including hand-made felt 'organs.' Yum! When I started this, I intended to make some hand-felted 'steak.' Then, it morphed into a whole cardiovascular system. To make it even weirder, the 'heart' in the tongs squeaks when you squeeze it. It's been in a couple of shows... and each time, I caught a few ballsy people playing with it in the gallery...which made me very, very happy! Barney is next on my hit list.

Fiber

Weaving
I dyed the fibers myself and then hand-wove it on a floor loom. Considering it's only a few months old, this scarf is more well-travelled than some people I know. It took a trip up to Northern California so my sister could wear it during her commencement ceremony at HSU. Then, it made it's way back down here, I over-dyed the whole thing in a fiery red, and wore it to my own graduation so that friends and family could spot me as I floated in the ocean of blah choir robes.
